Mahesh is a technologist, entrepreneur and researcher with 17 years of building solutions to complex socio-economic problems across infrastructure, energy, agriculture and finance. He began his career as a Software Engineer at Infosys after graduating in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2008, and became India’s first non-bureaucrat to earn an IMACC degree from IACA. His track record spans India’s Railway Display Network — envisioned across 2,000+ stations serving 25 million daily passengers with a projected $3B revenue potential — to waste-to-energy commercialisation, agri-tech for Indian farmers recognised by the Government of India, and energy efficiency deployments across industries.

As a Ph.D. Scholar at the National Forensic Sciences University researching Climate Finance Integrity, Mahesh identified a problem that sits at the heart of the global climate crisis — not the absence of climate capital, but its failure to reach the projects that need it most. Across every developing nation, credible climate projects go unfunded simply because they are not structured to the standards global investors require. India alone had aligned just $55.9B with a ~$6T global green debt market as of Dec’24 — not a reflection of ambition, but of a structuring and certification gap shared by every country whose climate projects are not yet recognised by the global investor community.
